Strange
03:16
|
|||
Don't you think it's strange?
We were so close.
Now we barely see each other anymore.
Still living around the corner, yet it feels so far.
I can still remember when we were younger.
We would spent the summer skating every day.
Wasting our time getting wasted
and dreaming of going all the way.
Never thought of growing up. It just happened,
while we were busy trying to write a perfect song.
When I look back now,
I guess we should've known that a day would come
when it would never be the same again.
We both got more astray,
until we turned our backs to each other
and we both walked our separate way.
Don't you think it's strange?

Walls
03:55
|
|||
Desperately trying to feel something.
Anything, anything at all.
Wish I could change up this state I'm in
and finally tear down my wall.
I build it to keep me safe from judging eyes.
With bricks of pretences and cement of lies.
Every day getting more lost in anxiety,
as these walls are slowly closing in on me.

Floating Uneasy
04:09
|
|||
She comes home, but never felt so lost before.
Goes upstairs, throws most of her things on the floor.
She can't shake the feeling something's in the way.
Desperately longing for a brand new day.
She looks in the mirror, but doesn't like what she sees.
The only person she doesn't want to be.
Floating Uneasy...

Waiting
03:47
|
|||
There she goes,
staring down as she takes her leave.
She's gonna meet a friend.
That's what she told me
and wants me to believe.
I'm waiting for you to stop lying.
Show your true colours.
Waiting for you to stop lying to me.
I should've got the clue when
she first changed the lock on her phone.
And when the way she touched way me
started feeling distant.
Looking back now,
I should've known.

Contrast
04:51
|
|||
I wake up to a hint of daylight
carving out your silhouette,
as you pull away the curtains.
It takes a while
for my eyes to take in all
the coloured lines
and not get lost in
the contrast in your skin.
